@nixCraft If you haven't read it, take a look at one of Ed Zitron's breakdowns of the financials around training and running AI models. It's entirely unsustainable without charging exorbitant amounts of money for usage. Anthropic and OpenAI will not be able to exist without a continued influx of VC capital. The only companies in the race that can actually afford to continue throwing billions of dollars in the AI pit are the existing hyperscalers (Google, Meta, Amazon) that have plenty of profit to just throw away. Now that time is getting shorter, I just want to spend my time either alone, with my partner, or the genuinely good people that I'm friends with. I just stopped engaging with shitty people. @nixCraft I just force 2fa via TOTP for password based auth on all my servers that are connected to the internet. This has been my standard config for many years at this point and I've never had a problem. I also turn off root logins and kill all user accounts that are not mine.
