so I just recently got a DA2 talking book player from my local library for the blind and print disabled, and I already figured out how to get it to crash. On the latest firmware as of writing, if you open the user guide with a cartridge inserted, then remove the cartridge during playback, pressing play/ stop will cause the book reader to crash. First time over, it recovers and restarts, but the second time it breaks, and reports a system error instead and recommends a reboot. At this point if it did it twice, it would force you into the nls bard interface and trying to enter book reader again without a reboot causes unpredictable results. I captured this recording of it earlier. @MutedTrampet@dragonscave.space I thought you might find this interesting since i've seen you post about assistive tech doing odd things that it was probably not ment to do.

looks like something in my home timeline is causing tweasecake to stop responding as I navigate to it, so I guess i have to use this instead. How annoying.

@ToniBarth@troet.cafe I didn't know that you could update ffmpeg for reaper. I thought it only worked with a particular version.

@mew@fwoof.space @daygar@tweesecake.social speaking of progress beeps in nvda, I figured out through a native instruments installerware wizard that if progress bars go negative, nvda will beep as if it's positive, so negative 1 percent is the same sound s 1, negative 2 si teh same as 2, etc. I figured this out because thoat installerware exes will cycle between 3 nad -3 percent while varifying contents before you can ocntinue with the instalation.

@stevo399@dragonscave.space Congrats on that for sure. I spent some time messing with audiom yesterday and had way too much fun exploring either areas that i'm familiar with in some ways, or areas i've heard of but don't have experience with. Also I had too much fun in the interactive tutorial.

@TheQuinbox@dragonscave.space I use the classic task manager from the windows 7 days, as winaero still offers it and I got used to the ui from back when I needed to use task manager on an old school pc that ran win7 years ago.
