Something about the phrase "well if that was the worst thing that happened to you today then I'd say it was a pretty good day" that irks me under normal circumstances, but no, lady at the X-ray place, fucking up my appointment time was not, by a mile, nay, several miles, the worst thing to happen to me today. Why can't people just think before speaking?

@ChrisJagged I like the Castlevania approach of throwing whatever they want into a medieval setting with no care for accuracy.
(My bigger problem is with medieval in my fantasy.)

@ChrisJagged exactly! Amazon sucks, but so far, they've never charged me for anything

@willelm @ElisesWritings yeah, the fact that you have to contact customer service to delete your account is not helpful. There should be an easy way. Of course, they probably made it harder knowing they would get mass deletions

I'm taking a "burn it to the ground" approach with Draft 2 Digital. I've delisted my books. Once I'm home, I'll delete them, then I'll ask them to delete all of my data. I don't buy for one minute that this came from some place of altruism to "protect" indies. Even when my books were selling, they never made over $100 on that platform. This is just another way to punish the little guy and stifle small voices. They can suck it.

The top rack on our dishwasher broke the other day, so instead of shopping for a new one or calling out a repair tech, I bought a replacement part and fixed it myself.
$50 vs $100s+
But more than anything, I'm glad there are still things out there someone with little to no technical know how can fix on their own.
