Stats in @connectwizard@mastodon.social are getting a major upgrade soon. You’ll be able to switch between different visualizations, toggle between absolute and relative values, and finally apply filters – just like in the raw data view.

Apple’s Developer Events page has a new batch of one-day workshops on Foundation Models and Siri AI, including sessions in Munich, Stockholm, and Paris. I’m really glad to see Apple bringing developer events to multiple European cities again.

Here’s another fun case of #SwiftUI not working the same way on macOS as on iOS: listRowBackground in a grouped form works on iOS, but does absolutely nothing on macOS. Why? 😭 FB23411911

To all the #SwiftUI experts out there: What’s the proper way to give a menu in the toolbar a background tint on macOS? I only got it working using this mess. Applying .menuStyle(.button) and then treating it as a button doesn’t work.

With Xcode 26.4 and Swift 6.3, there is finally an equivalent to XCTSkip in Swift Testing: Test.cancel(). A canceled task is not treated as a failure and is marked with a simple gray skip icon in Xcode.

@teilweise@layer8.space Honestly, I think this is fine. There is no scenario (at least in Apple's apps) where we need a close and cancel button in the same view. Yes, if there is a confirm button, it is a cancel button, as it indicates a loss of something. If there isn't something to lose, it is a close button. I think a checkmark for close wouldn't be appropriate when we look at the red window close button on macOS, which also uses an x.

Did you know iOS 26 introduces a new button initializer that only takes a role and an action as parameters?
Based on the role, a fully localized label with a custom icon is generated. This also provides a native way to get the sheet close and confirm buttons.
