I'm not sure there is a way to better protect a minor in shooting such a scene. The truth of the matter is that the only way to protect a minor is to not have them participate -- either hire an adult to play a 13 year old or cut the scene altogether. I never heard of this film before today and now I question everything about Wenders. I'm disgusted.

The nomenclature around AI is irresponsible, deceptive and dangerous. Artificial or not AI doesn't resemble "intelligence." It doesn't "think" or "predict" it does math. It does not have feelings. It does not "understand." It has no perspective, no voice. Its output is not wrong or right and it doesn't know the difference between the two. Humanized AI is gaslighting tech bro style. The media owes it to the people to stop parroting the industry's language and start using accurate words.

It is one thing for the AI companies to describe computing in terms of human experience (pf course they are -- they are desperate to convince the people that the sci-fi future we've been conditioned to expect is actually here when it will likely never arrive) but quite another for the media to parrot it. The media is a derelict patsy.

I've worked nearby since before Red Lobster came. I could see it from within our offices and I remember when the sign went up and feeling absolutely disgusted and angry about its arrival. I was embarrassed for my city. Feel terrible for the employees but it's no loss. Get rid of Olive Garden, Hard Rock, Heartland, Pink Taco, all of them. Of course I'd never eat at a chain (except Pret 🤷♂️). Two Boots in the EV, now THAT's a loss I mourn (and pray they make good on their promise to return).
