Crazy: compared a current server hw calculation with an existing server from 2024.
Similar parts, just the DDR5 ECC reg RAM prices are ~10x and the U.2 server SSD prices are ~2x now. 😱
Moving half of the RAM from the 2024 machine to the new addtl. machine might be the best option.
