@chemoelectric@masto.ai Yeah, we also had a wasp nest under our roof three years ago and we decided to just sit it out. Turns out they didn't bother us, also because their main flight path was above a pergola (and we didn't eat outside). After the season, we did clear out the empty nest, which had grown bigger than we realized.

@jonny Just repeating this, because I want to remember the phrase: "several shepherd's tone reward ladders at once". (This also perfectly describes the Universal Paperclips clicker game, which was made to be as simple as possible while tapping into these addictive patterns. And even when you know this, it still "works"!)

@janet@weirder.earth @timnitGebru@dair-community.social From what I can find, it is satire (which was also the earlier take from kron4 https://www.kron4.com/news/technology-ai/replacement-ai-satire-billboard/) I found an endorsement by Chase Hardin https://www.linkedin.com/posts/chase-hardin_new-strategies-to-control-ai-activity-7303504824648560641-5RpQ of Anthony Aguirre's essay "We must not build AI to replace humans" on Keep The Future Human. Aguirre is the Executive Director of Future of Life, and there may be problems with this institute, but the message is so diametrically opposite to Replacement AI that this thing must be a parody campaign.
