Yeah the AI bubble is going to explode soon. I’m going to be super happy, but the economy will be fucked for everybody.

+1 for Miniflux, super nice and it has a polished interface.
You can also access it through third-party apps such as NewsFlash (for Linux) or NetNewsWire (for mac, you just need to enable “Google Feeds APIs” in Miniflux for that).

We should stop calling it sideloading as if it’s something bad. It’s just installing.
It’s my device FFS!

Disable Google Play Protect. It’s a scam that doesn’t protect you at all, it just gives more control to Google.

Yes and no.
Money is currency that’s recognized by the state. Crypto is not.
But now my country (Italy) is making you pay taxes if you own crypto.
So, in a way, it’s recognised?

That was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

The Italian left voted in favour (what a huge disappointment). FI voted against and it’s a right wing party.

I’m on a Google Pixel 9A.
But at least I didn’t pay for it, Google paid me, thanks to a clever mix of a big 9A launch discount, a trade-in discount and the fact that the older Pixel I traded in had already been partially refunded because of the infamous battery problems.

I mean, there’s even a website (don’t remember the name) that lets you upload a photo of a person and it will show all pictures of that person that are on the web.
Like a Google search but for your face. Super creepy.

Exactly. It’s important that we stop saying “sideloading”, we should just say “install directly” or some other non-loaded expressions

But she kept saying stupid things to the bot (like “nooo stop openclaw!” instead of just “stop”) and the bot kept doing random stuff.

I don’t agree.
I started using the web as a curious 8 years old. I was pretending to be an adult in order to sign up to forums, chat with people, etc.
Yes, I was exposed to porn, gore (remember goatse?) but that didn’t make me dumb or a molester.
But nothing beats what I learned thanks to the internet. Endless days spent on programming forums, reading articles on a newborn Wikipedia, etc.
Even just talking with older people than me made me learn how to deal with things and life.
I don’t think that the internet for a kid is bad per se. I wouldn’t like a blanket ban for kids like the UK. If it was like that when I was a kid, I would probably be a more stupid person.
I think that the real bad thing is the stupid phones and apps that give you dopamine rushes.

It’s not even called OS X anymore, now it’s called macOS.
iOS is actually based on macOS, although it’s slimmed down a lot. iOS has been further split into iOS and iPadOS, although they’re pretty much the same thing. It’s just a marketing move.

I know the story of Luca Armani and I think it’s sad. He even lost his health because of this.
He should have just offered the Armani brand to pay him a good sum and that’s it. Instead, he wanted to fight for his rights, and he ended up losing.
(I honestly think that he was right, but the judge didn’t know anything about technology and the internet)

I don’t agree with “more privacy”. Data is federated, so anybody can easily scrape and gather data.
Even upvotes/downvotes are public (even if your client doesn’t display them, you can get the list of users that voted your post/comment through the API).
You can be anonymous, create multiple accounts on different instances, you can use a client with not trackers, etc. but I wouldn’t say there’s more privacy.
