Sacha

Hello Fediverse hivemind. I have a question for illustrators and graphic designers who have done commercial/retail distribution related work. Up until this point, all of my revenue streams with my art have been book sales, hired work and private commissions. However, I am currently in discussion with a local food/stack distributor to illustrate a character based illustration for a line of snack foods and I have no idea how to make a quote for this, since it is something that will be used potentially in perpituiry on their packaging. I really don't want to underprice myself and I would greatly appreciate the input of people who have done work like this. How would you go about determining a price that is reasonable? (Boosting welcome) Thank you.

New Instance. :) Hello everyone. My name is Sacha(He/Him/They) and I am an Indy comic artist and illustrator from Gatineau, Québec. I speak French and English. My main comic project right now is a historical YA comic called Seeds of Spring, with the writer Christoper Coquard. It's the the biography Peter Kropotkin, a former russian noble turned anarchist, told from the prespective of a current day tennager, learning to reconnect with her Mi'kmaq heritage, with the help of her grandparents. The books are published with Microcosm Publishing and I have the PDF's available on my Ko-Fi https://ko-fi.com/sacharavenda66232/shop I am also always actively taking commissions for DnD and TTRPG character, as well as freelance in 2D art for games, storyboards and illustration for books, album covers etc. Feel free to contact me if you would like me to draw something for you :) https://ko-fi.com/sacharavenda66232/commissions I also try to boost other creators work as much as I can. I also boost random stuff tangential to my work like concept art, movie stuff, old JRPG related things, art history, and the occasional bad joke. #mastoart #fediart #jrpg #ttrpg #commisionsopen #comics #anarchism #イラスト #illustration #ttrpg #dnd #dndart #fantasyart #introduction
