Anyone used Zybooks before?

I'm trying to get a feel if it would help me homeschool my kiddo in programming/other things. Any input would be appreciated.

Update: wrong timezone setting was the problem.

Upon fixing timezone last night he was able to finish the initial activation and update and use his deck.

So everything works now.

Steamdeck help wanted please.

Got my kid a steamdeck, instead of a much more expensive laptop.

It runs all the games and doesn't have windows 11 spyware.

Thing got here yesterday.

He tried to start it up.

It asked for an update.

It failed to install the update.

Repeatedly.

I'm at a loss as to what to do in order to help him get it working.

It is the 256GB LCD version.

We've tried downloading and installing the update via wifi and via wired and neither work.

When I've done searches for update failed I either find posts from when it first released and people are suggestion bios changes or nothing else.

Any help I can get would be appreciated. A 400$ device is expensive for me and I can't easily afford to get something else.
