@bob_zim @wesley thanks! Yes I agree that's what should be expected when handig over data to the OS. So now the only way iOS retains a notification is when you don't act upon it at all. And afaik it keeps history for a week, so even if you don't act on it the notification is deleted after a week.

@wesley @bob_zim @tumainidaniel @signalapp swiping a notification away counts as deleting afaik. If you tap the notification, or just open the app manually and read the message, the notification does disappear, but I'm not sure if iOS handles that the same as a deletion.

@bob_zim @wesley @tumainidaniel @signalapp if you delete the notification it will be deleted from cache, but if you don't explicitely delete it, it will still stay in notification history afaik.
