Rewatched Dune Part Two last night after having recently read the book for the first time. I remember being vaguely disappointed after I saw it in the cinema and on rewatch I can confirm it's pretty bad. It diverges way too much from the novel, beats you over the head with it's anti religious themes and has a central love story with absolutely no chemistry. The sand worm riding is excellent and the visuals are overall gorgeous but the rewatch left me with zero desire to see part 3.

Testing out 3D printing a TPU gasket so I can waterproof a camera project. TPU is deformable and water tight so sandwiching it between a layer of acrylic and the rest of the enclosure allows me to have a hole for the camera lens without water getting in. Remains to be seen what impact the acrylic will have on the image, but it holds water so that's promising. First time printing TPU, so far it hasn't given me much trouble.

Did a bit of catching up on Reform's policy positions. Holy crap how can you just be straight global warming denying in 2026. They're doing the "no evidence of human cause" and "the climate has always changed" lines like it was 2008. I thought we'd at least moved on to impact minimising being the only position you could take without being laughed out of the room.

Well done by the UK greens. The response of the reform candidate tells you everything. No humility before the will of the electorate, just more divisive hateful rhetoric.
