The venus flytrap's blooms finally opened! They're the white flowers in this picture. The ones above are purple pickerel.
I was visiting friends in Nashville over the holiday weekend. My EUC came along, and I got to ride the extensive Music City Bikeway.
Such a difference from the many curated paths in Atlanta! Very few intersections, so very little need to stop. Mostly I saw nature along the way, including a deer that gave me a "WTF" look but otherwise was unbothered by my presence.
The main artwork I saw along the way was this Tool Fire sculpture.
@retech@corteximplant.com Yes! This Waveshare unit is really nice. I mean I'd like to have one that is more viewable in sunlight, but this is the best I can find without a mess of custom work.
Though I need to fix that offset on the case. It's more irritating now that I have more interactive bits to display.
The cyberpunk wearable shenanigans continue! Working on probing BLE devices to work up to interacting with them.
First late night ride on the #EUC!
Quite a different experience. Less traffic makes riding easier, but bumps aren't as easy to spot.

I think I need to hack the antenna on the Waveshare to help increase range.
Today's EUC ride went through Lenox Park, where I found this path that went under a bridge. Not shown is another path under another arch.
I've refrained from posting a picture from every EUC ride, but this experience had to be shared. Turning down a side road I found it lined on both sides with magnolia grandiflora.
The most amazing part was the scent. Get out there and smell the flowers!

Made an update to my EUC companion to give me both digital and graphical readout of speed and charge. Getting a shot of this in motion is really hard 😅 But now it's easier to read at a glance.

I've been carrying a folding pocket keyboard to use with my phone + Termux and it's fairly usable.
If I was doing it, I'd go with a TUI++ approach on a very basic Linux distro, with tmux and a shell being the main mode. If the sky was the limit, I might even put in some dedicated buttons for the most common tmux keystrokes.
And of course if I went full-graphics mode I'd have some sweet sweet XScreenSaver hack to make it pretty when it's idle.
On yesterday's EUC ride I crossed a bridge that had an amazing view of Buckhead looking down 400.
So it *can* find cameras! I might have to move the EUC info connection from WiFi to BLE so that WiFi scanning can stay on while I'm riding.

It has that rubbery/grippy feel you'd expect, but it's not tacky or sticky.
Here's a picture of an earlier print that I gave two coats to. Keep in mind I didn't really give a lot of attention to applying it, but I think if you did it could give a very nice finish. But for the jacket's aesthetic I liked the rougher look with only one coat.
This component of my #cyberpunk jacket project that I call the "codex" was designed to be usable separate from the rest of the tech built in to the jacket. I was able to get it to read data from my #EUC so it can show ride stats, charge, and current speed.
This was my first test ride with the codex by itself. The display is hard to see in the picture because it's a very sunny day. I'll try again next time it's overcast.
The texture of the case comes from 3d printing in a dark color and then spraying with a single coat of plasti-dip.

@chad There are some notable differences. A few of the integrations (Whisper, for example) can't be installed directly from the web interface in a Docker container. You have to install some containers alongside HA. Overall I've never run into a serious roadblock, but just be aware you might need to spend more time researching how to set up some things.
