@Tutanota@mastodon.social It sounds like the European Union has invented a new system which is called "Reverse Democracy". That is where the government does the exact opposite of the will of the people.

@AkaSci@fosstodon.org soooo, they are just going to begin studying this now? Seems like the kind of study you would want to do before you begin the destruction of something potentially important. I guess we have been messing about with something we have no comprehension of and are just hoping everything turns out okay... You know, just like the Ozone layer.

@briankrebs@infosec.exchange I would ask "Why are they getting special treatment?" This sounds like a fairly serious attack on a large scale. It brings to mind again the "AI Worm" confirmed at University of Toronto in their Laboratory, and I wonder what the means were in this instance. In that case, more powerful computers were used to gain access to the smaller targets, compromising an entire system while expanding... @nicolaspapernot@mastodon.online [dead account?] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pm5uxWhRVmU

@chatcontrol@mastodon.social why must this be put forward again and again? I wish you all the best in your mass-emailing campaigns. Why don't they just give this up already? If you could just automate the emails to go out periodically to remind them that you still don't want it.

@ContraindiKate@zeroes.ca @alice@lgbtqia.space I'm fully with you on this... I have done some light reading and they are effectively doing this for 450 000 tags. It's a clear case of automation without curation. The backstory of *what they are trying to achieve*, or *why they are doing this* doesn't seem to add up. This cannot be compared to that British service *Newsmast*, which does something similar but, has actual human curation which backs it all up. Why/How could anyone follow 450K accounts? It's senseless.

@alice@lgbtqia.space I think that's very interesting, and we are seeing a clear vulnerability in this system because anyone who has an email address can set up an account and start automating... and apparently scrape your personal hashtags and then curate them, presumptively for their own benefit? There is also the issue of how highly indexable all of our posts are (since 4.5), and so, it really does become attached to whatever discoverable content you have when it gets to Google. Followers only is crappy?

@esoastronomy@mastodon.social Will the datacenters have any advantage in terms of cooling in space? I thought this was a non-starter. Maybe the electricity from the sun is somehow making it worthwhile? I really don't understand why that would be functional. Maybe if there are 1 million of them the math works out? Seems like a high number.

@Ashedryden@xoxo.zone It's funny how the technology is not nearly as effective as companies seem to expect, and they seem to all be confidently destroying themselves on this whim. If it was as effective as they all seem to expect, we wouldn't need any of them anyway. So they could have just pre-emptively closed down. And then those spaces would be rendered inaccessible to the National Militia Group? So then those would be the remaining sanctuary spaces? I wonder if that will become the case. It seems like even places of worship are somehow not protected as sanctuaries, which they traditionally were, I am sure.

@QasimRashid@mastodon.social is this in reference to any news article of today? Or where is the top information from? Additionally I would ask whether you would assess that the CSAM statistics are demonstrating the level of white corruption? Further, is this connected to broad/far reaching and deep extortion plots? In your opinion is that what the Epstein influence/group was essentially doing? Offering something illegal, or otherwise gaining evidence of heinous crimes which they themselves facilitated?
