Other parts of the world have that governance in place to allow scrutiny and if needed, take action for not meeting those governance requirements. No impairment to free speech. Just intends to prevent perversion of decision making.

How the fuck does US political governance allow people to fund self interests so very overtly?

The main four companies that make $billions from scanning messages argue child safety. Whatsapp was purchased for $22b as an act of overt socialist love to allow people to communicate… (Sarcasm)

Thank you, Unknown company to me, so can look at them in more detail, but they look promising.
A little like accessing AI the way SEARXNG orr StartPage access mainstream search engines. Great idea.

Thank you, very helpful. Duck & Brave both have written policies supporting privacy, so definitely trust matter.

AI web searching - which is the least terrible for privacy but retains accuracy?
Does anyone have greater understanding or experience? My use cases are general use in mobile or laptop with systemwide Hagezi blocklists. Also run on laptop using Mullvad browser with wireguard, uBlock Origin and filters. Mullvad is never used for anything personally identifying.
I’ve been trying duckAI and its very good / balanced when I check against my professional clinical and related legal expertise. I see that FHMY is advocating BraveAI and it is as good (from my n=1) checking against what I know.

The public and the police still await the law to be updated. Meanwhile we are still criminals for protesting. Do be careful. I am not a lawyer, but hopefully if we are arrested (again), then the police will be able to catch & release with CPS far less likely to pursue an action that will not be in the public interest and in any event challenged at cost to the public purse and reputation.

UK resident here: We are in a place still economically damaged by Brexit. Starmers dumbass party is making it worse in most ways by selling completely meaningless promises of safety that just give away our rights to privacy.

No robust rationale for switching, other than willful reading about Tumbleweed. Debian, as ever, was working just perfectly. Would it be acceptable to suggest crazy Brit after drinking a strong coffee? I try distro’s in VM often, just to see. This looked like a drop in replacement with “perks”. Now I question myself as to the perks. Hey ho. I’m perhaps less of the tinkerer but still a horizon scanner.

Brilliant. I’d like to see how the very uninformed legislators deal with this. They will have to publically re-argue first principles

CEO knows that he can do so much better than having us hanging on to their Firefox that we helped shape. His vision is clear. Plenty more fish in the sea who will buy the new and improved Firefox.

I don’t advocate for guns or wanton violence but I know that there are ways to put yourself in danger. This moron does too and knows how to make that profitable.

I’ve been using open / FOSS versions on Android and desktop for a while. Save those files to Proton Drive. The proton sheets variant needs to compete with those. Initial advantage will be the ability to view docs or spreadsheets natively rather than needing to download. Something Proton has actively NOT done when so many others have found it easy enough.
