@FediFollows@social.growyourown.services hey, thanks for the post! i daily drive a "linux-phone" in the sense of your post (postmarketos with phosh on a Op6T) exactly because i want an mobile ecosystem which is at every possible level as less dependent on Big Tech as possible. i know that's only gradually possible, but do not let yourself get confused by overcorrect/formal categorisation debates. i think a lot of people perfectly understand what you mean, however blurred the concept may be and are grateful for the post!:)

@cryptica@retro.pizza @davidoclubb@toot.wales i daily drive a google pixel 3a with #postmarketos and everything functions (calls, sms, wifi, gps etc) except the camera is crap (selfie cam is crap, but has autofocus, back cam is crap without autofocus;)). however, the limited RAM (3GB) is sometimes annoying (especially when using gnome maps). as far as i know, the #OP6T still has this annoying bug with calling. i do not know about the #op6 though.

@OhMyGod@infosec.exchange ich würde es mit einem google pixel 3a und postmarketos probieren. da funktioniert alles, nur die back-kamera nicht (und die quali der selfie cam ist auch schlecht). aber man kann normal telefonieren (nachdem man die soundlevel etwas justiert hat) &sms schicken, signal-desktop läuft, Email, Browsing etc sowieso und GPS (nach aktivierung im terminal auch). die limitierten RAM (3GB) nerven hin und wieder, aber sonst top. daily drive ich seid über einem jahr.

@enriquericos i am daily driving #postmarketos on a google #pixel3a which are quiet cheap as used ones. everything works fine for me, except the camera is really(!) bad right know. however, if you need waydroid for whatsapp, i do not know if it is powerful enough. the #oneplus6t is much stronger, but had an annoying call issue when i tried a year ago, do not know what the state is today. i use @signalapp as messenger and the desktop version runs super smooth.
