I went into a really popular nsfw hytale server and tried to explain that while I don't support bans on nsfw mods, that hytale installs mods onto the client of whoever is joining a server, and servers are easy to make. It only takes one groomer sending a minor a link to their server with porn, and then hytale will crack down on nsfw mods and start banning people who have it installed (as a programmer who knows EXACTLY what hytale did to make mods download to the client, I know they're capable of doing this). But the owner and everyone else just called me paranoid and said something is off with me and that I probably can't function irl... Like no dude, I live in the real world. I was groomed as a kid through a very similar method. Someone invited me to one of those video sharing websites (rabb.it I think?) and shared porn with me, there was no safeguard. But unlike that website, Hytale is serious about this shit. But everyone insists that it'll never happen. I'm not even saying they're responsible for making it not happen, I'm just saying they need to safeguard themselves from getting banned and the mods from getting taken down... I get how hard it is to prevent a minor from downloading nsfw mods, but this is an easy to access multiplayer game, and this has no precedent in the gaming industry. Am I really just going crazy?
