No, this poem makes me more mad the more I think about it. I hate the hypothetical of just being someone else. Taking it serously requires a complete removal of empathy (if you think being someone else would just be you're personality in a different body) or the complete denial that you are anything (if you think being someone else would be being them unchanged). And most of all it denies that you came into being for a reason. That you could be born to another set of parents mrans that the soul is a blank slate that is filled up by your life. That you have no inherent connection to you're family, your ancenstors, your people, yourself. Turning persons into mere placeholders that can be swapped around without meaning. I despse it.

I disagree with the fundamental premise here. You couldn't be anyone but yourself. Because you didn't come from nowhere, you came from parents. Who got together, not by chance, but for some reasons unknowable to our small minds. And theirs before them, and their grandparents before that. And on and on until the beginning of days. You can only be yourself, because if you were someone else, you would just be them, born to their parents, raised in their upbringing. You couldn't be someone else, because then there would just be them, and no you.

I would say using human actors gives film a significant advantage over animation in some types of stories. Specifically from the ability for them to constantly and subtlely emote. While technically possible for animation to mimick it's prohibitivly expensive most of the time. For example I recently finished Legend of the Galactic Heros, and think that it would have been better as a properly executed live action show. Since so much of it is just dialogue, even the action scenes, actors would really be able to elivate the material; and there's no way the level of animation needed to match that could be done for over 40 hours. Animation is better at more fantastic and especially abstract stories, when human emotion drives the story facial expressions and body language matter most, and nothing beats a good actor at that.
On the topic of audience participation, I think the advancement of special effects is what robs most modern film of that. As a fan of older styles of special effects, especially low budget effects (thinek the original Star Trek run), it left much more room for the suspension of disbelief and through it active, albiet slight, use of imagination. I despise current special effects. Action scenes too, for example I find the original Star Wars trilogy to have far more engaging action scenes than any of the latter movies. Or the Conan the Barbarian movie. Shakey can and actors who couldn't swing a sword convincingly to save their life have killed action. There seems to be a petrifying fear against the obviously fake but still enjoyable fight scenes in older film.
Basically movies need to become more like plays and less like unreal engine 5 demos. I should also get into theatre but I have no confidence in modern playwrights (thoigh admittedly i dont actually know anyrhing about theatre) nor money to spare on attending shows. I would gladly warch a performance of some old play like Shakespeare.

Is it? I don't think death is all that strange. In one day of mulching a.fruit orchard I have cut a toad in half with a shovel, stepped on a mouse nest and killed all the babies, and uprooted countless flowers. My clothes are made of dead plants and my boots are made of skin. Dead trees make houses and dirt is shit and dead plants. Death is inherent in life. It's all around you, but contemporary society separates persons from the land and thus insulates them from the death that said society is built on.
