pools have chemicals, filters, and chemicals.
The pool at my community center has a proceedure where you are to at the very least rinse yourself off before going into the pool. Its not really a place for kids except for swim lessons. its just lanes for lap swimming. Proceedure is to clean yourself both before and after the pool. why so many use a swim cap to protect their hair.

My husband had the Tv connected to the internet, even though we watch everthing from the xbox. I changed the wifi password a few months ago, and never reconnected the TV.
Best decision ever.

All my sick time/pto was used for my kid. If I was sick, I went to work. I got pointed one time because I had a fever and no one wanted to work near me, my supervisor said I could go home, and then pointed me.
When my young son was, when his symptoms blew up, I had to take unpaid FMLA because I was getting called out of work so much. I almost got fired for it.
and I also agree with your last paragraph.
I do know, In retail, in my time, the (young) childfree usually had to work second or third shift, and the older and parents got first shift. I thought it unfair, until I got older. Senority plays a factor too though. so idk.
edit,
and the whole time I was dealing with the stuff before I got fmla, I remember co workers saying I was getting special treatment. I did not want to leave work, I didnt want to cry and stress over lost income, I wanted to stay and do my job.
I was so stressed out, having panic attacks, sometimes at work, def at home, and even somedays was suicidal. The loss of work, because PTO ran out quick, was loss of income. Daycare wants you to pay for your child’s “spot”. so you pay for them weather they are home sick or at daycare, except if im home, Im not making money. I was worried every day about making rent, having food, and my little monster of a child having trouble. I wanted to kms I was so stressed out, and coworkers were talking behind my back how I was getting special treatment. I didnt want special treatment, I wanted a healthy kid so I could work unbothered, and pay rent on time.

I somehow reached 200 hours in that game in just a few months. Civ 6 is a gem like that.
Is it aweful I turn off Domination victories? (and score victories but I assume many folks do this).
200 hours and I still have to look up how to gain a science victory because it takes sooo longg.

I watched my mother’s parents be like this. blows my mind folks, idk. I don’t understand the whys, well, I do, but, why live and stay in misery? Fear?
Maybe after all these comments, I understand what the original context means (in some way), but that is not funny, it’s sad. Like I said, my mother’s parents hated eachother, always bickered, yet always stayed together. When my grandfather passed away, my grandmother became a wholley different person, in a good way. It was like years of burden were lifted, leaving her spirit lighter. Why not give yourself that gift earlier than old age? She spent her whole life with someone she didnt like, and who didnt like her, why? Because jane down the street will talk gossip? Because you may have to sit alone with yourself for a time?
You free your partner too, to find someone else better fitting, as well as for yourself. “if you love them let them go” and all that. It’s not even all selfish to sever a connection with a person not right for you. It is good for both parties.
When one door closes, you get oppourtunity for many other doors. Maybe because I have faced death a few times early, I dont carry these feelings. I am still a bit co dependent to be honest, but not in this way. Life is too short to stay in situations that dont serve your own peace. Hope, you dont hope for a person to change, you hope you yourself can, and move foward to something new, and better fitting.
Its like keeping a pair of jeans that fit you when you were 20, and “one day they will fit me again” meanwhile, youve not lost any weight, or became any smaller in the decades youve held on. Just give the pants to someone they will fit, so they can still have life, if even not with your ass in them, but someone elses. Instead, you hold on, until the jeans are eaten by moths in the draw, and the stitching weakens, and the pants wont ever see life again. Its selfish to stay for hope.

I tell my husband I love him 18000 times a day, and incessantly compliment him. Been there for thick and thin. I definately compliment him wayyy more than he compliments me.
“if they didnt want to be there they wouldnt be”
how the hell do you stay in a realtionship, married for that matter, if you dont know your partner likes you?

the two people I dated who were homeschooled were not better academically.
They both in fact, lacked everyday knowledge and life skills. Niether went to college and worked remedial jobs like home depot and dog daycare. One thought you had to take a boat to Rhode Island (we border this state) and the other (who I only dated for a few weeks) was kind of rapey and believed in flat earth theory, and open carried into my home (with a small child) without permission.
nah.
if done right sure, but in my little expierence, we’re 2/2 less bright than my public school peers.

Insted of saying “just google it” instead say “just search it” or “just look it up”. There are many different search engines available, and do we really want google to be our word choice here? Akin to advertising imo. fuck promoting these companies.
i do appreciate the links, but that’s not what I meant.

I switched to vaping when I got together with my husband, and it was fine, I actually hated vaping, it hurts my throat, and I always had it in my hand, I threw it into the yard once when I was picking up and tossing sticks, why was it in my hand? Always… ugh, the panic when I’d misplace it… but was on vape for 4 ish years. My husband recently quit vaping (he really made it look easy, two weeks and he was off it), and I …just moved back to cigarettes, roll my own to save the buck. I tried to quit at first, right after him, did the lozenges, but it’s put off right now.
It doesn’t even take me a trip to vegas to get those rose colored glasses, even just a movie or show where they smoke in it, I’m like “yes, I need smoke now” like some fucking cigarette gollum.
I’ve quit many things over the years. My brain won’t let me stop yet. I feel like I’d need rehab for it to be completely honest.

Are you in the states? I am, and once I started reading labels, I couldn’t believe how much sugar was in everything. From bread to jar sauce, peanut butter, fuckin, soup. Like, it’s incredible where you find sugar.
I’m fat from other stuff, mostly inactivity, but far from diabetic, and it’s because I’ve been avoiding the hidden sugars in processed and ultra processed foods for over a decade. Read the labels, get grossed out, avoid. If I’m having sugar, it’s my choice, not because they sneak 5g of sugar in a half cup of jar sauce, or 6g in a slice of bread. Know what’s sweet? Red bell peppers. Avoid sugar a week, and then have a red bell pepper. You’re taste buds will explode with its sweetness.

A number of years ago, I was about 28 years old. My neighbor was my coworker, about 25, and we were friends.
One day he was having a small get together and invited me over. About 8 people, all 21-26 years of age. They were doing dabs. I did a couple, and wanted to do something fun, a game or something. Everyone at that “party” had done so many dabs they were couch zombies, falling asleep. I left from boredom.
It was so weird to me, and sad. I hope you’re feeling better these days with your relationship to dabbing.

I joined a crafts group with my therapist solely for practicing socialization. It helps a lot more than I thought it would. I’m no artist, but it doesn’t matter for this.
