@littlerao @sam @digitalcourage I agree, it doesn't make sense that way. I don't think it's possible to load the .pkpass on an #NFC #card, as it just contains a QR code, but who knows. Of course, you can get your #Deutschlandticket on a card, if you don't need to have it on the phone...

@networkexception @sam @digitalcourage Thanks for the heads-up, I didn't know there was a discussion about #Deutschlandticket on paper. Indeed, it seems there is a valid court decision from early 2026 that is also backed by the government. (https://archive.is/sFMF6) I wouldn't accept my ticket being refused and give sources. Worst case: show the ticket in the office later. But it is worth pointing out this is meant as a backup, it should be no issue to show the #PDF digitally in most cases.
PSA: If you buy your #Deutschlandticket with the Rhein-Sieg Transit Company (#VRS), you can get it as a printable #PDF and a .pkpass file! No third party app required, and you can have the same ticket both on your smartphone and as an offline copy! This is IMHO the best way to obtain your public transport ticket.
