@stevenbodzin@thepit.social Haven't come across that, might depend on how googlified your OS is, and whether you are blocking site scripts or not. But I don't use my phone for browsing much anyway, sites look a lot better on my 32" screen...

@stevenbodzin@thepit.social On Android, there is a screenshot built into the device that should take a shot of anything, hit the power and down volume buttons at the same time and it will screenshot. Of course, on a PC, there's the clipping tool and the printscreen button, both are not blocked by websites.

@lonespur@mastodon.social As an Aussie watching this craziness I have to say that if you want to stop this, and stop it now, the only way is for the top trump echelon to all be removed at the same time. You need to cut the head off the snake. Now, I'm not saying that a bunch of ex-military should organise an operation to make this happen, but there are certainly plenty in the US with the requisite skills. All I'm saying is, it's way too late for any other solution, if something isn't done, the US is going to end up at war with the rest of the world, and we may well end up with complete collapse of human civilisation. So what's the lesser of two evils, a few dead psychopaths, or millions, possibly billions of casualties? Americans need to stop living in the fantasy that the law, congress or some magical sky fairy are going to stop trump and his merry band of lunatics, only the people can end this now.

@cstross@wandering.shop This is only an issue because parents abrogate their responsibilities and buy their kids all the latest junk. There's such a thing as saying "no" and actually being the parent, rather than trying to be their friend. Parents are responsible for their safety, more parents need to start taking that responsibility seriously. Unfortunately, with the perpetually distracted generation now being parents, the horse has bolted. The vast majority of people who pop out a bunch of kids out of stupidity and selfishness should never have kids at all.
