I saw that Ben and Adam have rolled the odometer and are starting a re-re-watch from the beginning of TNG, and I'm like "sure, I'm game"

Seconds into the opening banter and Ben drops a "my kid said the darndest thing" anecdote

(I stopped listening years ago, I hope this isn't a regular bit)

(I'm glad when podcasters seem to love their kids but unless the title of your podcast is Things My Kid Did! that's not why I'm listening)

I've been listening to the Brent Spiner/Jonathan Frakes podcast and Ted Danson's podcast and, as a gen-x kid who grew up watching those guys, they have a nice gentle energy; it's kind of a parasocial hang where you get to listen to your cool tv uncles just reflect and shoot the shit with people (who a lot of the time are their friends or at least long time acquaintances)

I'm still grappling with how old all those guys are though

I got an ad for a screening of Blade Runner but with a live orchestra? And that's like the one movie where I *wouldn't* want a live orchestra, you can't watch blade runner without Vangelis' synth score
