@Okuna @thoralf @kuketzblog Die hatten mich blockiert weil ich mal gefragt hatte ob es jemals eine Möglichkeit gäbe microG zu nutzen anstelle von play services, von mir aus auch in einer sandbox. Deren Antwort ist ein unfreundliches nein gewesen und dann wurde ich erst beleidigt und dann geblockt. Sowas sollte man sich nicht leisten dürfen wen man seriös sein will weswegen ich das Projekt komplett außen vor lasse bei allen was ich mache (App Entwicklung und anderes).

the oneplus 6 and 6t are currently great phones for postmarketos as they get improved continuously and have great hardware support currently.
but there also are newer devices like the pixel phones with tensor G1 or the pixel 9 pro XL but that only in the future as they are in very early stages currently and there is even no touch yet.

@hellomiakoda @JWShost @blinry @postmarketOS isn't this running with halium? no mainline kernel, often a old kernel and also no plasma mobile support anymore since they moved on from halium😔.
but it's great to run a full linux on a phone even with halium, I have a Volla phone and it's nicer as being stuck on Android.

@daniel_bohrer @blinry there is ATL (Android Translation Layer) a very early wine like software that makes Android software run on linux and there is waydroid a full containerized AOSP system (often lineage OS) that runs the apps.
I would suggest using waydroid and adding microG (play services features in Foss) but if that results in issues (I haven't found one yet) then can you try the play services from google.

@kobold @blinry @postmarketOS you could try fde or systemd-homed (this only when you are OK with systemd).
another way seems impossible or very hard to me as how the bootloader and hardware are designed and how linux boots on that hardware but I can have a wrong impression of those components.
