Two Brompton folding bikes (one acoustic, one electric), a co-owned Tern HSD short-tail electric cargo bike, and an Optima Hopper semirecumbent (currently stored with friends in the Netherlands)

When people first started talking regularly about Rachel Reid (local author of the Heated Rivalry book), I would hear “Rachel Reeves” (UK politician) before mentally backtracking and correcting. Somewhere along the line, though, my expectations switched.

It’s funny either way, though, so I’m good!

In Edmonton we lived above (WAY above) a beloved downtown pub. In 2018 the NDP government passed a law that allowed bars to open for the duration of the men’s hockey gold medal game (at like 4am), so we got up early for it and headed down. We all wore our pyjamas! I will be thinking of that Sunday.
