Agente Costura's business are sewing machines, talking hats and a mostly fluffy multiverse of DIY instruments. Laura will bring her electronics, guitar pedals, maybe a salvaged guitar, and definitely her curiosity. @djlink i just home recorded a humble staple of tapes for my partner, also band partner, sell or trade at sotu (sounds of the underground in amsterdam). The covers and labels are jelly prints, or unique collages, and sometimes you can still hear what was recorded before, what imho adds to it. Mixtapes "worked" as music exchange and tokens of affection and admiration. Except that they were really useful.

@lunario@mastodon.art @improvisedmusic@fedigroups.social The concert room ofausland is in a cellar with stairs (9 steps) which a wheelchair cannot go down/up autonomously. in this series a person dedicates only to accessibility, incl helping down/up the stairs (for those who accept the non autonomous option) and who makes haptic guides on the floor for sight impaired, or general complementary support etc. We have been learning, some things diy, feeback and suggestions welcome. #accessibility #barrierefreiheit

we had a small recomendation in the taz here down (but in german) and in the tagesspiegel.. my gratefullness. https://taz.de/Konzertempfehlungen-fuer-Berlin/!6166154/ Somebody suggested in very good faith i should not have done the opening concert on the last weekend of Maerzmusik but honestly, i live in Berlin since 2010 and every day there is always 300 amazing things, so you just schedule an event when you and the location can, and pray to the serendipity gods that some people might stumble on your event..

At home the mixer output was at 11 o clovk and the soundvsystem wad audible "but dont disturb the neighbours much after 22h". special yesterday case, at the location i my mixer output was barely touching 8 o clock or ocasionally 9 o clock . for some reason the engineer pushed everything quite up (even if small location) and was already quite loud.

@noisio@chaos.social i sometimes use an am/fm radio (in the picture, just for white noise) in the second stereo input to start reluctant feedback. Or do the god forbidden unplugging and plugging a jack. Yesterday this not working (and maybe tell tale symptom the radio through pedals without no input was almost imperceptible, even if the reception was working - tested without pedals) Will definitely also look into this all you wrote. And will report findings if i have. All your contributions help so much!!

@trashpandaqc@mastodon.online sidetracking and going offtopic, i got curious how one does it in a laptop. You use max loops or something similar? And yes, i also organize concerts in a location, and i need sometimes to be the person protecting thd system or at least crossing fingers.. things usually dont go wrong, usually noise musicians do something like Risk Aware Concious Noise, but still accidents happen.. I may print a tshirt with that.

@trashpandaqc@mastodon.online there is a correction though because your method has pedals after mixer or maybe between channels of the mixer. I have pedals before. Sorry for confusion. The thing is that the small mixer when working without no input, like, when i use the diy synths (also low power) behaves obediently..

For those wanting a visual idea, specially the pedals and mixer (i am right handed, so mixer to the right). But the original connections had been chsnged at this point already, this photo was taken yesterday at a little gig after i had to frantically do plan b when no input decided to basically harrumph and discreetly shut up except for when i switched off most of the effects. Ah, i know that the location pa had a huge compressor working as a limiter, because they were scared of no input.

@SamanthaJaneSmith@lgbtqia.space A closed chain of 3 digital multieffect pedals. The 3 secondary outputs of the pedals go into the 3 input channels of the behringer. No usage of send efx. The two outputs of the small mixer go to the pa. The effect chain has everything and a pair of boots, but mainly ressonance filter, pitchshift, and a slow flanger. At home or in the rehearsal studio it behaves as i got used to it. At a concert, sometimes no sound comes out of it, or i struggle to get the sound to start.

@trashpandaqc@mastodon.online i use the former method you describe, and what i mean is that a different pa issues different results. My mixer output (the cheapest behringer in the market) goes to the pa. All no input happens in pedals which are input to the small mixer. I would like to know why different pa gives different resulta. and eventually how to overcome. I am assuming an impedance problem, will test witg a different mixer and/or a turn table small pa.

People who make music with no input feedback. The results depend a lot on the soundsystem/PA ahead. As in what i rehearse at home sometimes doesnt work (as in no sound happens) or differs at a location with bigger pa.

Does anybody know more, e.g. what is the deciding factor, or how to overcome this?

please dont "it is well know that"..

Other than that, happy to be showered with ideas, serendipity and exchange experiences.
