Fuck. FUCK!!
I've been wanting an app for jotting down thoughts with a knowledge graph. Was Obsidian what I was looking for this whole damn time????

Anyone remember that twitter account that posts bitfield art?
@memoriesin8bit@mastodon.gamedev.place I mean, if it works I won't judge.
Maybe I should try a password manager one day cause I don't even know how they would work across OSes and multiple devices without uploading them to a server
Keepass, the one I use, just creates a .kdbx file with the passwords inside, encrypted with a master password. How secure your passwords are when the database DOES get in the hands of someone else depends on how tough that master password is to guess/crack.
Syncthing is apparently encrypted too so there's that, but I don't use it yet. I manually transfer my password db between my desktop and my phone, and manually merge both when they diverge too much.
@memoriesin8bit@mastodon.gamedev.place Text file or a piece of paper with passwords in it? My father does that and he still manages to lose his passwords haha.
Well... I'm locked out of several of my old phones because of esoteric passwords that time forgot...
Nowadays for online stuff I use generated passwords (preferably without complex symbols), while my "master" password is not short but not forgettable either.
@memoriesin8bit@mastodon.gamedev.place maybe it happens every time they push an update hahahaha
by the way I recommend using a password manager! I've been using KeePass XC and it has served me well. (though you'll need Syncthing if you want to sync your database to other devices)
