I downloaded a couple of apps that were recommended on the AuDHD Flourishing podcast episode about alexithymia - Animi, and How We Feel.
I've only tested them briefly, but I'm not sure they'll work for me. Perhaps I'm judging too soon, but...

The world is grey and stormy.
Fog covers the mountain, like it's gone, like it never was.
I must remember the mountain is there.
It is always there.
It will always be there.
Eventually this storm will pass. The fog will lift. I will see the mountain again.
There may even be a rainbow.
I can't control when the storm will end but I can protect myself when I must go out in it.
And I can keep looking towards that horizon.
The mountain will return.

My Personal Independence Payment application form arrived 2 days ago.
Even though I'm the one who started this new application, I've used my (limited) available energy on cleaning instead of opening the envelope.
I don't want to do this but I know I need to do this.
Spouse is on rest days for a couple of days, so he will help. And I've counselling soon, so I can deal with these feelings.
I'm guess I'm sharing this for accountability, and because it's hard and I know so many of you can relate

In therapy today I learned about the window of tolerance, and about how a mind that has spent a long time outside that window may struggle to stay within that window.
I have more thoughts on this - and a half-formed analogy involving my inner goblin starting fires - but my brain needs to sleep again so they'll have to wait. I'll add a content warning so I can come back to this at some point.

Link below references SI, world events.
The AuDHD Flourishing podcast posted an episode titled Surviving Out of Spite, and I found it helpful, so I'm sharing it with all y'all lovely Fedizens in case you or someone you know might find it helpful too.

I think one of our jackdaws has a pet pigeon.
The jackdaw is giving every third or fourth peck from the coconut feeder to a pigeon perched nearby.

The Occupational Therapist also said they'd follow up in some months to see if there's anything else they could do to support me - such as connecting me with relevant support groups or social groups, or signposting relevant voluntary work. (I miss working.)
And they offered signposting support to Spouse, too, as he is my carer.

I can't remember the right words for some today; I'll take photos when I'm able.
• A cage for the toilet. It has arms now. I love it.
• A bath seat that lifts and lowers and that I am looking forward to trying.
• A corner shower stool.
• A "bed lever" raised grab handle that is at the side of the bed and secured under the mattress. I love it.
• A raised kitchen seat with arms so I can sit safely at counter height.
• A commode for the ground floor of our house.
