Ground News was co-founded by a brother-and-sister team, Harleen Kaur and Sukh Singh. **Harleen Kaur (CEO): She was formerly a space engineer at NASA before shifting her focus to news technology. **Sukh Singh (CTO): He came from a software background and studied engineering at the University of Waterloo. So while it wasn't founded exclusively by women, a woman leads the company as CEO and co-founder! Where Was It Founded? It is indeed a local Ontario creation, tied closely to the Waterloo region right next door to Kitchener.
