Diddlydee

I made a post yesterday and it racked up a load of upvotes. I happened to go into the community today with a filter for top past 12 hours on, and though my post had more upvotes than the others, it didn’t show there at all. What’s that all about? It’s like I’ve blocked myself or something. Edit: I checked another post in another community with not as many upvotes and it doesn’t show in the top past 12 hours filter either, when it should be top.

I watched the first 20 mins of the doc and didn’t like the way it was selective in its storytelling, given what I know of events. The initial scene of her arrest, where her mum breaks down and Lucy is just quiet and hugging her cat, made a lot of people wonder why she showed no emotion when being accused of such crimes. I think the arrest in the video was not her first arrest, likely her third over a few years, but that isn’t made clear. I believe this arrest was expected, hence the reaction. The next scene was of police interviews where they questioned her on procedure and she was shit hot, but couldn’t remember a lot of details about the baby they were asking her about. I found that strange. I could wax lyrical about procedures in my industry, but I’ll probably be unable to recall a lot of details about things that happened, even out of the ordinary things (granted, not baby deaths, but as a neonatal nurse she’ll have been used to all kinds of bad things and it’s probably a good mental tool to forget details for your own sanity). I have no idea if she’s guilty or innocent, but I didn’t like what they showed in the few scenes I watched. I’d also add that I’m invested. My son was born in that hospital on a night when she worked there. I remember faces and I saw her on the ward. There’s a part of me that doubts she did it nonetheless, and a sliver of doubt is enough. So, did anyone watch?

I have a bath every night, no matter the weather. 30 mins reading my current book before washing and shaving. I have a bath thermometer and keep the temperature at 43.5 degrees c. Usually some muscle relaxing herbal bath salts. It’s the best part of the day. Pure bliss.
