Kronnect makes some amazing assets and I still have to find one that doesn't make me happy when working with it. This one is no exception and the fog/clouds and light effects it produces look amazing! It is currently 50% off during the #Unity3D Spring Sale. #gamedev https://prf.hn/click/camref:1101lr4hF/destination:https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/vfx/shaders/fog-lighting-bundle-234260 [affiliate link]

When I worked on 2D projects in #Unity3D, this was my favourite quick-and-cool asset. It really holds what it's promising and is easy and enjoyable to work with. It's currently 50% off and well worth its price in my opinion, if you are looking for a well-made sprite shader asset. Last year, I developed a short game for a #gamejam called Down The Mountain. I still love this project and think it came out super well - you can also play it over on #itchio! The devlog goes over how I tackled level design and iterations, implementing systems and finding out what it was all about. https://youtu.be/ghyI1Ud9YBI
I'm in the process of creating the store pages for my guides! Almost done. Release this week might have been a bit optimistic, but next week it will happen for sure 💛 Had a last-moment redesign for the covers as the previous iteration just didn't feel right to me.
Each guide will focus on a certain topic and contain explanations, code and sample Unity scenes. Page count is between 15 (Input fields) and 45 (scroll rect).
Looking forward to finally releasing them 💛
One of my favourite places in my game. Have you played it? What was yours?
Play Down the Mountain for free over on #itchio!

New tutorial up! This time a part two to my Toggle Switch System from three weeks ago: Style your Unity toggle switch with color and material transitions!
New tutorial up!
This one's about how to create a toggle switch system for your UI, consisting of the switch and a Toggle Group Manager.
Hope you'll enjoy it :)!
I just saw the new Spiderverse movie and it was _so good_. I love the style, the story gave me shivers and the soundtrack (and sounds!) were straight up goosebumbs. I have no clue how that certain sound when danger is high makes my whole body go cold, but it is absolutely amazing. And I can now finally have a look into the art book! (I love artbooks :D!)
Currently working on my game's UI. Finding colors and a style that works on every part of the UI is a challenge I enjoy :D I fell in love with the orange accent color first and kinda went from there, so I forsee needed changes in its future. But for now, I'm happy with this. Next step is taking this mockup, create the rest of the menus and then make it work inside #unity
The game is Architecton, a building sandbox about Architectual history 💛
I'm thinking about doing feedback livestreams for game developers, in which I give feedback on their game's UI (from basic prototype to finished product, everything's welcome). Pointing out what works and what does not, how to think about fixing it and maybe some pointers on which topics to look up further.
I'm a professional designer with ~13 years of experience and design teacher (~2 years). I'm super passionate about those topics. Would probably stream on YT.
New tutorial is up!
This is how you look at and watch your target in Unity 2D - With setting up dedicated areas to be monitored and random eye movement when nothing is being tracked.
