Probably not. I2P is a pain to set up, for little benefit other than a decentralized network. The latency is not worth it currently. When it becomes click and install, and the latency is improved, then maybe.

pacman /w chaotic-aur.

I don’t need the AUR directly, a GUI, or other managers. Just what came with my system + chaotic works just fine.

edit: typo

Thank you so much! One more thing: would there be a way to check if the user has playerctl installed on their system? Or is there a Python package like it?

Arch: Control VLC through terminal commands?

I’m making a Python script to play music through VLC and I wanted to add a way to control audio playback of VLC, like pause/play, next/previous, etc. I know I can change shuffle mode before launching VLC with the –random and –no-random arguments. However, is there a way to change playback settings through the Linux terminal while VLC is running?

I like to use white on a transparent/glossy color. Kind of like this (very old pic I know):

Linux distro derivatives of existing Linux distros, such as an "Arch-based" or "Debian-based" distro. E.g. EndeavourOS is an Arch-based distro (derivative of ArchLinux). Ubuntu is a Debian-based distro, etc.

Despite having tinnitus, I can still hear very subtle sounds and identify them. For example, a long, deep hum means a garage door is opening/closing. I can also hear (and feel) footsteps and movement from people around a building, even very subtle movement. I can also pick up on all the little creaks a building makes. However, despite being able to hear subtle sounds, I cannot hear “no” sound or silence due to the ringing. :/

On Mobile: Obtainium due to GitHub’s rate limiting after 2 refreshes (I have a lot of apps on it) and having to wait 30 minutes before I can update anything. On Desktop: I don’t really have anything bad for desktop, so I guess FreeTube since I can stop watching videos instead of doing work.
