I will never understand the kind of entitled attitude that people should be expected to work in order to make you successful… Like fuck you manager/CEO. I could not possibly care less about how much more money you get to make or how many pats on the back you get for breaking records… Why the hell should I be expected to be here for that? The whole “it’s about helping the business succeed!” (…yeah that’s making YOU successful…)

Honestly having the time to take those courses was why I even left my last job to take this factory job, but then COVID happened and everything got put on hold and the “omg recession” cycle started. Unfortunately no, the shitty factory job gives nothing but some pie before thanksgiving. At least they give something I guess lol

I’m 39 and feel like it’s definitely too late for me. I’d be 42+ by the time I’m done and with the way the economy is and the job market in general I don’t think there would be any positive for me to go through that expense. I basically just missed the boat, all my friends went to school for computer science when they were ~20 so they’re safe now and make an absolute killing. If I were to try that now I’d just join the like millions that can’t find work in that field… For the last 5 years every single day the news has been “omg a recession is coming, it’s coming, it’s definitely coming like tomorrow! Be afraid, it’s coming!” So I never left my shitty factory job, but now I just feel stuck…

I haven’t smelled it in a while, but I don’t think I remember it smelling rotten. It wasn’t pleasant but also wasn’t really disgusting, it was just odd.

I don’t know what it is, but I can smell a somewhat metallic type smell on some specific people’s breath. It always smells very similar between different people. They generally aren’t very healthy, but no one seems to know what I’m talking about.
