Blocking a person goes much further, and this is something that many social media users do not understand.
On Mastodon, you can also block a whole server. And I think this is something that only admins should be allowed to do. Not users ...

From a technical standpoint, the #fediverse is great. But it’s highly immature and for some it is toxic.

The point is we are all adults and we can act like adults or we can choose to be childish. The last thing is quite often the case here.

By the way, blocking a person one doesn’t want to listen to is not not listening to the person, but silencing him or her. Blocking goes further.
Usually, you don’t do this in real life, but with social networks, this is easy. And of course, you can avoid any kind of debate or discussion.
