@caseynewton@mastodon.social Stephen Miller is behind this - 20 bucks says there is big foreign money involved - the same Cambridge Analytica crowd that spammed Brexit into existence and no doubt had their slimy paws all over the recent EU parliament elections. We need to follow the money.

@caseynewton@mastodon.social Well ... it turns out Congress is only part of the story. Stephen Miller, the America Firster who wrote a lot of Trump's speeches, is part of the effort to shut them down. I think Rachel Maddow would love to talk to Kate Starbird and Renee DiResta about this. And the anti-vaxx connection strikes me as something the lawyers at Moderna and Pfizer might want to have a look at. Some people apparently have a lot to hide and a subpoena or two from Big Pharma might turn up some interesting connections.

@caseynewton@mastodon.social I don't understand how Congress has any say in how a private university operates research programs. I think we need details on what kind of pressure was applied, by whom, and who stands to benefit from this research being stopped.
