@niconiconi@mk.absturztau.be I remember this meme seeing a lot of use during a certain time in the 2010's where suddenly every game was piss easy in nearly every difficulty below the hardest one. This tendency in game design hasn't fully disappeared, but at least it got dialed down a lot.

I get to work on this Python codebase and then immediately notice the strict adherence to using type annotations everywhere... except they are such a pain to get right for some people that half of them are only partially right.
Then I get told to avoid using two indentation levels because indentation is a pain...
I'm also told performance is critical and should be mindful of not introducing significantly slower code.
At this point I'm wondering why the fuck are we using Python if it looks like what we actually want is Go.

AI Limit seems to be the first anime soulslike that actually tries to put some emphasis on the soulslike part, rather than just being a generic ARPG. It's still pretty easy though.

I guess I should add to this that the system confuses real matches with FIFA 22 footage and that the "tech experts" keep trying to add 45 files long non-functional AI generated code. Just three more weeks until I leave this fucking burning trashfire of a project. :tiredAkko:

>"Oh yeah, I made that feature in way that it can only be tested on Linux"
>We don't get issued Linux computers, nor can we spin up servers, and our shitty laptops have a ton of restrictions on the VM software they can install
I'm so glad I'm going to be out of here soon.

@Mimesatwork@wandering.shop @kepler@cubhub.social @PennyOaken@mastodon.social It really feels like they are inflating the user count with the amount of bots that have started following me out of nowhere. Or maybe the bots flooding the site is a side effect of effectively telling the mods you don't value their work at all.

@eviltrout@carpdiem.online That's true, but the most annoying part is some platforms don't have viable alternatives. A good example is Discord, for which the nearest equivalent lacks 90% of what people like about it.
