@GlennMG@mas.to Anyone want to bet that Big Agriculture is going to use this opportunity to buy up family farms, increase their monopoly, jack up the price of food and NEVER let it go down again?

@GlennMG@mas.to If someone wanted to weaken the USA's military, this is a really, really good way to do it.

@GlennMG@mas.to I think that farmers who voted for cheetolini should be subsidizing the farmers who did not. What idiocy.

@GlennMG@mas.to Big News knows that potential food shortages this fall are extremely toxic to Trump in the polls. My guess is they are hoping to pull a rabbit (or more likely a cow) out of their hat between now and then.

@GlennMG@mas.to I buy veg at a local vegetable store. Today cherry tomatoes were double the price they were two weeks ago. Their prices are pretty stable until now. Until today, I could get two of the square clamshell packages of cherry tomatoes for $1.50. Today they were $1.50 each.

@GlennMG@mas.to They are selling land to solar to power data centers. We are all fucked.

@GlennMG@mas.to All that land going cheap to "developers" and datacentre firms. Good thing an army doesn't march on its stomach...

@GlennMG@mas.to Great, we're going to have a god damn famine.
