@EdBoatConnoisseur For maximum "white men need to be encouraged to go die so that when we press gang people, there will be little to no resistance" propaganda reasons, they'd want to have an actual woman. But for DEI goals, failing to use a transformer for the role would be offensive. I have no idea what's more likely. Maybe there'll be some video clips at some point and then it'll be easier to judge.

@EdBoatConnoisseur@poa.st Fair. Trying to establish a progressive cultural hegemon in a new-ish form of media that is prohibitively expensive for average joes to enter makes sense as a motivation. I understand that a full 3d model being made is about $20k, and you need an equipment setup and rig to handle it. There's a mandatory infrastructure cost. "What do you mean vtubers are progressive cultists? They always were!" (/gaslighting)

iirc the motion capture suit needed to drive a 3d model is $30K just for the suit, some vtubers are able to get by using an iphone for motion tracking but that is a hack.

@EdBoatConnoisseur considering they need a large amount of men I would say incredibly low and there's actually an incredibly high chance that she is in fact hot IRL too to maximize the effect to get them to sign up for the military. It's like how they had that hot chick who would do psyops for the military by goon-baiting men.
