  FedEx strikes again. They *always* lies about deliveries now. Every single package is late. It’s not that it took a day or two longer, it’s that they just point blank lies. If it’s not being delivered, don’t claim it’s on the truck. Then I would have gotten the package. Fund USPS and nationalize mail/packages/etc and be done with it. This capitalism thing failed.

  This thing where unrelated and meaningless channels put trailers for something there’s already official sources for is just so damn annoying, not to mention the shitoritm doesn’t start with the source just makes it so much worse. And then it starts “suggesting” the trailer I’ve already seen but for other channels over and over and over again. When Apple unveiled Apple TV+ (which do create quality shows) I was so hoping they would have unveiled a YouTube competitor. Take back some of that whole...

  Anyone else feel uneasy with the idea of naming workers? From name tags in person to “today Mike is your driver” and similar online things. (I feel uneasy about it as it’s a way to identify the worker to assign blame and to try to direct any anger towards a named person rather than the real culprit, the corporation.) Same as calling people “sir”. I am not British, I don’t even have a knighthood. I’m certainly not better than anyone.

  Temperature drops with altitude, and wings require an atmosphere. So Icarus couldn’t fly too close to the sun and have the wax melt. At best he would get a bit colder and it would be harder to breathe. Because come on he would not get that high up now would he? Daedalus caused Icarus death and then covered it up, in a case of ancient enshitification and planned obsolescence.

  I think that the emergence of drones and unmanned ground robots have quite a different effect on the future than what is normally portrayed and discussed. It’s not a replacement for a high tech modern military. Air superiority and ballistic missiles with logical target priority will still be far more effective (anyone who has that and is loosing is loosing on purpose).   My mind works in odd little ways. Was using b/w filter, and thought “that’s just intensity, without the colors”. Because I was looking at the subject and the photo at the same time. The brilliant me though, “what about the opposite? What if we remove the intensity and keep the color?” *smh*

  Are there any internet based equivalents to number stations? (For those unaware, number stations are radio stations that transmit seemingly random or meaningless things, with speculation of their true use. Most being something spy related. I find the recordings creepy and I generally am not bothered. Just so nobody goes into a bad rabbit hole from a search.)

  Think I’ve been able to put in words why I’ve hated the idea do grades for a very long time now. Education should be about improving yourself (the student), because that fosters a positive spirit and knowledge. Grades fosters bell curves, completion, backstabbing, anti-social behaviors, elitism, and a lack of empathy. Grading people is evil.

  432hz people irks me, the whole idea is unbelievably stupid in every way. (440 is arbitrary, that it’s A that is 440 is also arbitrary, that TET-12 ended up the major system is mostly arbitrary, and hz itself is arbitrary because a second is arbitrary. It’s not a naturally occurring constant. Not to mention “in tune with the earth” is just silly)

  The new cat and dragon anime is an odd one. One human shows up with a Klingon “sword” or whatever you call that giant thing they use. Don’t know what they were going for, but it just looks goofy. Interesting show otherwise .

  I love self aware anime. “This looks Japanese, this looks European (hmm), this looks medieval. Almost like someone mixed and matched on purpose!” :) The new maid show this season btw. I like quirky shows.

  Pro tip. If you are going to be clever and eat one of the many “worst” foods out there (I don’t think there’s a single worst one), please do follow the instructions and eat it like it’s normally eaten. For example, if you insist on opening a package of flour by violently smashing it in candle light and then proceed eat it with a spoon you are going to have a bad time. As in don’t do it. It’s dangerous. Does that make flour the worst food out there? Nope.

  *angry noises* Stop making anime movies that randomly and poorly slot in between seasons of the show. It’s always just a mess, and quite frankly the story just ends up poor for many reasons. I hate capitalism.
