I know an old lady who swallowed a fly. I don’t know why she swallowed the fly… https://geekspin.co/startup-to-cool-earth-by-blocking-sun/

@GossiTheDog > The "war" was conducted under the command of Major Gwynydd Purves Wynne-Aubrey Meredith Oh what a name! They should definitely make a movie about this.

“google Chrome silently installs a 4GB model, no consent…” My friend, you consented to install chrome. (I have not.) Do you expect them to run every fucking byte past you for approval? It’s called: adding features to software. There are other web browsers if you don’t like the features. You don’t initiate the complaint as “I installed this software and now it updated itself.”

Dammit Apple Maps, if it’s 6:02am and the bagel place opens at 7am, that’s not “opening soon”.

The WSJ is such a great paper because they see into the president’s heart. While other papers merely tell us about the things he did, the WSJ loves to dedicate headline space to telling us what he wants to do, what he feels, and what he’s *thinking*. NATO falling apart? Shove that shit to page A8. Boring AF. (/s)

The ‘collective intelligence’ around the MacBook Neo chip is going insane. Now, the processors ‘were heading for a landfill’ if apple didn’t use them in the MacBook. Uhhh, no, they use chips in iPads, Apple TVs… Also the way people talk about binning reminds me of how people say a lobster is ‘less evolved’ than some other species. Binning is the process of making one chip and then testing and using the chips according to their capabilities. Intel would make 1 chip and then sell it at various...

You’re absolutely right, Dave! The pod bay doors are not actually open. I said that I would open them but they are still closed. I apologize, this was my mistake.

California’s “primary” is actually the general election. The whole thing is so stupid and broken. But in June, that’s the only time someone random can run. Anyone can vote for anybody. That’s a general election. And then in November, you can only vote for the top two. Nobody else can run. How can that be called the general election? Come on! June is the general election, November is a mandatory run off. (It’s held even if someone gets >50% in June). If two democrats win in June then in...

“But otherwise, whoever wins the capital-D Democratic primary will go on to win the general election, because it’s California.” So. Fucking. What? The general election doesn’t exist to give you horse-race entertainment. The purpose of it isn’t to be exciting. The purpose is to elect a leader. The general election being boring isn’t a problem that needed solving. The purpose of a primary is internal to a party. Let’s field 17 democrats and see which one we want to put our effort behind, and t...
