  The Go-Go's "Vacation" US IRS 1982 An appropriate single for the start of summer in Northern Hemisphere. While the not the first all female rock band to chart, they were the first to also write their own material to top the album chart with their debut album *Beauty And The Beat*. *Vacation*, the band's second album peaked at 8 on the album chart, as did the single. #PhysicalMedia #vinyl #45rpm @vinylrecords

  Nirvana "Sliver b/w Dive" US Sub Pop 1990, 2nd pressing c. 1992, blue swirl There was a brief period of time in the early 90s I had a turntable; I got a Sears stereo system as a graduation present. During that time I mostly picked up used records, but I picked up a few new like this Nirvana single from the U District Tower Records.   The Monkees "Valleri" US Colgems/RCA 1968 The Monkees are an interesting group; yes, they were made for TV, but they did develop into fine singers and musicians. This was their final US Top 10 single, peaking at #3 in the Billboard charts.   Original Love *Eyes* JP East World 1993 One of my all-time favorite albums. Original Love's third major label album feels like a drive to the beach on a summer day, sunny yet soulful. After Vannelli released *Pauper In Paradise* which featuring a 15 minute title track suite, A&M warned him to make something more commercial.
