Walking, reading, riding San Francisco and actively hoping towards a better world.
I know just enough to get in trouble in far too many fields cuz I'm usually reading. Flower fan.
Therapy is hard to get, sometimes I vent here, sorry if it bothers you, but the personal is political and I stay real. also speculative. determine which is which at your own risk.
#parks #bikes #books #dogs <a href="https://sfba.s

I remain amazed at my ability to misplace things. I swear I was just on a phone call, set down my phone and checked my email... and now I can't find my phone. It's not even a cluttered spot! I'm sitting at my kitchen table! #ADHD #neurodiversity

Listening to Inheritance by Harvey Whitehouse, an anthropology book on the origins of religion and he discusses grave goods as proof people have always believed in an afterlife, but I think it's equally plausible that people just didn't want to deal with the arguments about who gets to inherit what. Is belief in an afterlife more intrinsic than squabbling over who gets the shiny things?

So I'm taking a Greyhound bus for this part of the journey and it's repeatedly had to pull over for some mysterious (to me, presumably not the driver) reason as well as idling for more than an hour at a gas station stinking up the cabin, and now it's stuck in stop & go traffic. 1) buses should have BRT lanes on all freeways 2) when a bus needs to pull over this frequently a company as big as Greyhound should have the rolling stock to send replacement buses 3) th...

Looking at two bike route maps with graphs showing elevation change. One looks far easier than the other, unless you notice the scale difference on the elevation part 🧐🤓 The real difference a few characters can make... (From Ride with GPS) #biking #biketouring

My dog has certain definite priorities. If you're petting her, that's what she wants. If you stop petting her, she wants you to throw the ball. Treats & cuddles are also acceptable deviations from these activities. #GoldenRetrieverLife

Listening to a podcaster I like talking about how so many podcaster/journalists monetize rage and the incineration of trust in institutions and I can't help but thinking about how the previous era's economics monetized environmental destruction and the incineration of traditions and cultures. And so many people want to continue to be uncritical of that environmental and cultural destruction while being critical of criticism itself. It's slightly maddening. Criticism doe...

So if you've been following me for any length of time, you've probably heard me complain about the Venture Capital startup house(think Silicon Valley series) with the loud fans that I can hear from my house. For context I had a small flood last weekend and I currently have several large fans and dehumidifiers and related machinery actually in my house and basement... And my VC neighbors' fans are still louder.

10 hours of sleep, a couple large beverages(coffee, then some coffee ashgawanda herbal thing), an hour of light garden tending in the morning sun, and my body is back on course. Now how do I make a life where I get to do this more frequently and not have work/life demands leaving me suffering most days?

The daffodils and kale are competing for best flower (there's also a few plants where I'm eating the kale buds as fast as I can to try to keep the plant going to another year). Rose the dog also wanted a portrait and how could I say no to that face? #bloomscrolling #DogsOfFediverse

Collected some miners lettuce, rooreh, today. I'm going to dump it where I'm going to weed some invasive oxalis and hope it reseeds - doesn't seem easily transplantable unless I take a rude amount of soil.
