So I'm taking a Greyhound bus for this part of the journey and it's repeatedly had to pull over for some mysterious (to me, presumably not the driver) reason as well as idling for more than an hour at a gas station stinking up the cabin, and now it's stuck in stop & go traffic. 1) buses should have BRT lanes on all freeways 2) when a bus needs to pull over this frequently a company as big as Greyhound should have the rolling stock to send replacement buses 3) the US needs more and better trains 4) we need to start charging single owner vehicles/single occupancy vehicles a fair rate to help create market competition for public transit (I can see all the empty passenger seats from here)
