While I'm out there, it would be a dream to sail from Pakistan to Pakistan across the North Caspian Sea. I'm disappointed that the city names aren't readable because I'm sure they'd be names like Constantinople in Egivey or Parris-Abbaba in lower Iran. (Paris-Ababa would be in upper Iran.)

  Shot the annual Shiny Side Up bike and car show in San Jose yesterday... no, it's not that kind of bike show. This is a very Northern California kind of show. It's a low rider "cruiser bike" and low rider car show with other kinds of bike and bike related celebrations included. One of those bike celebrations are BMX stunt performances.   I shot a very well attended 4th of July Parade in Monterey, CA. I have some fun shots from the parade, but the ones I'm most pleased by are these face in the crowd shots I was able to get after the parade ended. Every time I'm in a crowd, I try to get shots like this, but it's always hit or miss... mostly miss. If you’ve never encountered that world, you only know about the Peter Thiels. A lot of VCs are also not mega rich billionaires. They come in all stripes. There are a lot of people out there parceling out $200k, $50k, even $10k of funding to people who are working toward causes they believe in.

  This is hilarious. It appears that Twitter is DDOSing itself. The Twitter home feed's been down for most of this morning.
