Early up and out, now I‘m tired again. But it was worth running in a perfect sub-20-degrees weather. I even caught some good glances of the #willibaldsburg in #eichstaett during the run — and took pictures! Today, we‘ll drop off two of our kids at some friends‘ house then head back to #aalen #running #coros #apex4

Arrived in Eichstätt, now lunch at Paradeis (a famous local restaurant) with live music — unfortunately, they are grossly out of tune at times… 😬

13 degrees Celsius in the morning! What a bliss to run in this weather! And I’m inching closer to that 5,000 kilometers milestone (funny: *inching* + *kilometers* + *milestone* in one sentence). I'm already in the car heading towards Eichstätt (Bavaria) for a guided tour of the city with the *whole* family. Have a great weekend! #running #coros #apex4

I‘ll never learn… Some hours ago, someone in my timeline asked for advice concerning ebook readers. I replied by asking if a separate device was needed, I do all of my reading on the iPhone/iPad with apps like AppleBooks or Kindle. I was quite sure of getting a lot of snarky replies (Amazon/🍏bad…), and I sure got them. After a while they developed from fact driven replies to personal insults, so I just blocked some people. Next time, I’ll just keep my mouth shut/won‘t write a reply. Maybe.

My hip decided to cause some pain and weakness, so I cut short my run and only did a half-marathon. That was enough. Now I‘ll let my hip rest for a bit. I have been thinking on this for some time now: I‘ll drop the daily half-marathons for a daily run with a fixed time (instead of a distance). That will give me at least one more hour of sleep each night. And, once I‘ve broken the psychological circle of *having to run at least 21.1 K*, I‘ll be open for other distances. #Running #Coros #Apex4

Eight full hours of sleep (7:57 actually, but that‘s close enough), then taking care of my feet (runner’s toes), warm up, then #running – oooh, it’s hot! 🥵 I didn’t even want to stop for a moment to take pics, it was absolutely glowing outside. But I‘m content with the results. #heat #coros #apex4

No. Power. Left. This has been the last day of school for this summer. I was up at 2:20 am, warmed up, ran, showered, cycled to school at 6:35, loaded lots of equipment into a van, drove over to the concert hall for our closing ceremony, afterwards back with all the stuff to our school. There: closing ceremony for the staff – with music. Then: Home (cycling at 34 deg C). Sleep. Bliss. More sleep tonight! #running #apex4 #coros #school #sleep #music

I am currently listening to Tai-Pan by James Clavell. As soon as I‘m through with it, I‘ll be taking up a re-listening journey of THE DARK TOWER by Stephen King. All novels, one by one. #audiobooks #JamesClavell #StephenKing #TheDarkTower

When I got up at around 7am after about eight hours of sleep, it was absolutely pouring down outside. So I did some of my work first, then warmed up and went outside. My timing was right, not a drop of rain on me during the run. And it was a good one, getting me to the end of THE WISE MAN‘S FEAR by Patrick Rothfuss… Now I‘ll have to decide on which audiobook to listen to next. And I landed on a cool number: 4,444 kms in 2026! Have a great Sunday, y‘all! #running #coros #apex4 #audiobooks #sleep

Some catching up on lost sleep successfully accomplished. Kinda proud of myself. Yesterday‘s early morning warm up taught me not to have *that* many 3 hour nights… #sleep #running #coros #apex4

Today, I got up at 2:30 am, steppend on my scale, put on my running clothes, did my warm-up, then went back to bed. I almost fell asleep several times during the warm-up, so there was no chance of having a good run. Better that way, two more hours of sleep added to my schedule, yay. #running #sleep

One of the hottest days EVER in Germany. Last night, we broke the heat record for the warmest night ever recorded. Great, I sleep under the roof. After our trip to Frankfurt and bringing our youngest daughter home, we arrived at 1:00 am at home. I went straight to bed, got up at 4:50 am again. Any later time would have made #Running impossible for me. Even so it was 20+ degrees Celsius (and the sun wasn’t out yet). I did it, now I won’t move anymore for the rest of the day… #coros #apex4 #heat

On my way to a 4 hour #bigband rehearsal with #ostalbjazzorchestra and #axelschlosser in preparation for our concert in Ellwangen in June. Still tired from last night’s #blues gig in #tuebingen – but really looking forward to seeing Axel again after ~10 years. #music #trumpet #jazz

#Iran #USA #Krieg

I‘m a little under the weather, but I have tongo to work (two classes have tests next week, I can’t skip the last lesson before that). Lots of coworkers sick at home, so quite a load extra this week. And my voice is already on the brink… But, in other/better news: The run was ok, the audiobook was great, I started this run with OLD MAN‘S WAR by John Scalzi. Always a pleasure, and it’s my first run-through in English. Yeah! #Running #applewatchultra3 #audiobooks #JohnScalzi

Hmmmmm, quite some logs on my #Running trails. And no signs, no blockages, no NO TRESPASSING signs, just nothing. The next best trail was equally blocked. 🤬That was strange. But I did find an alternate route and was quite happy with that. Still a lot of snow on the hills, but I cling to my hope of getting rid of all that snow and ice by next week. Have a great weekend, y‘all! #applewatchultra3 #winter #snow
