I‘ll never learn…
Some hours ago, someone in my timeline asked for advice concerning ebook readers. I replied by asking if a separate device was needed, I do all of my reading on the iPhone/iPad with apps like AppleBooks or Kindle. I was quite sure of getting a lot of snarky replies (Amazon/🍏bad…), and I sure got them. After a while they developed from fact driven replies to personal insults, so I just blocked some people.
Next time, I’ll just keep my mouth shut/won‘t write a reply. Maybe.

@sebastianhahn@mastodon.world I just read through the (translated) exchange. I do almost the same thing as you; but I avoid Amazon as much as I can (which is really hard as they're basically a monopoly in publishing). Keep being the friendly, helpful person you are. Sometimes, people aren't looking for the answer you have, or they have some hill they want to yell from. We don't have to listen to them. Block and move on.
