  Dear BBC Sports site (the only 'news' site I have a quick look at in the mornings). We know what Trump looks like. We do not need any pictures of Trump to ruin our morning on the sports site. We thought we'd be safe from seeing him there.

  Weird behaviour time. There's no spellcheck in my Vivaldi browser on my laptop, there is on the Vivaldi on desktop - and supposedly they're in sync. But I can't find any spellcheck on or off choice in the settings? Anyway, if you see odd spelling or typos on my posts in the afternoon or evening, that'll be why. #vivaldi

  Good morning. There is rain, but it's that sort of rain which seems reluctant to fall as rain. It's spending a lot of time just hanging about in the gap between cloud and land, just floating downwards slowly and having a look at the ground below before landing.   My ankle is better today, and I can walk around the house without the aid of my walking stick. Hurrah. I'm not going to though. I'm going to sit right here, rest it a bit more, read my book and drink some tea. By order of J, who has gone to work today. Hoping that the dog will be happy with a 200 metre walk up the lane outside, instead of a two kilometre one in the woods. She'll have to be really, I can't really risk doing too much on it and setting it off again.

  My FirstDirect phone banking app has worked fine for years, but they must have pushed an update recently because it now refuses to open. My phone has a risky app on it apparently. I would show you what it says, but they disable the screenshot facility. How the banking app gets away with scanning my entire phone to see what's on it is one thing.   It's actually felt cool today so far. Perhaps it's just me being cool? I'm so cool I make the air around me cool. Carbon capture, hah, absolute bollocks, just plug me in and let me cool it all with my cool. Ingredients for cool: Tilley hat, varifocal glasses that dim, linen shirt, cycling shorts (baggy sort, not those skin tight ones that thrust your package at everyone) and hiking shoes with no socks. Little white dog and walking stick complete the look. Cool.

  Good monring. Due to circumstances beyond my control, my day so far has gone higgledy-piggledy, and my routines-loving brain is completely mashed. It is making efforts to reboot, but every restart is currently bringing unexpected updates which cause more processor overloads. Thinking maybe I'll turn it off and then only turn it back on tomorrow morning.

  Good morning. Was pleased to see the temperature was going to take some time to get to it's most debilitating today, so was able to wait until 8.30 instead of getting out by 7am for our walk this morning. Consequently, the morning has passed by rather quickly. J is on her way home today but wanted me to give her a shopping list for her to get groceries on the way. Although I had started a list, she was not convinced that we still only needed whisky and crisps replenished for the week ahead...

  Good morning. Been out for a walk with the dog. Was feeling virtuous by being out and enjoying a cooler sun at 7am, but we saw a neighbour with his dog out this morning too, and he said they were coming to the end of their walk, having started at 5.30 a.m. Luckily he's not called Jones, so I don't have to keep up with him.

  Good morning. Our part of Cornwall is not yet cooking, but the thermostat is gradually being wound up. 'Only' 24° max today. Still, a fairly early dog walk is wise, plus then a good possibility of outdoor work being an option, before the 30° plus hits tomorrow when hiding from it will be more likely.
