My FirstDirect phone banking app has worked fine for years, but they must have pushed an update recently because it now refuses to open.
My phone has a risky app on it apparently.
I would show you what it says, but they disable the screenshot facility.
How the banking app gets away with scanning my entire phone to see what's on it is one thing. The fact that the keyboard app they're identifying is open source and hasn't been flagged as any sort of a problem by anyone before is another.
What's worse is that on saying 'Oh well, I'll go in via the website' is I can't. The website login now needs a code, which is generated fresh every time you log in...
by the phone app.
They recommend the default keyboard. Google. Yep, that's more secure.

Note: I've been running this same keyboard ap on the phone, successfully with all apps including theirs, for three years at least. Looking at different banks now.
