    Good morning It&#39;s going to be a warm one here in Central England but at least there&#39;s a bit of a breeze. I slept better last night - I managed to sleep on my back all night and put a pillow under my thighs to avoid the leg pain I&#39;d got previously. (I&#39;m normally a side sleeper but it&#39;s become quite uncomfortable).     I&#39;ve just cleared out our &#39;drinks cupboard&#39;. It&#39;s about 18 months since I stopped drinking alcohol (I don&#39;t like the taste, or the effects) and Sacha rarely drinks anything other than cider or occasionally rosé wine. What the **** am I going to do with three crates of bottles of the stuff - red, white &amp; rosé wine, spirits and beer? I can&#39;t bring myself to pour it down the sink! I might start being very generous to some of my pals.

    On a roll this morning! I&#39;ve picked the remaining garden blackberries. Sorted out the cold frame that was full of old plant pots and junk. Got all three bins in before they blew away! Phoned the air con people who will be doing a video call next week (recommend by a family member) Sent an email to the decorator asking for a quote (did a good job last year) Loaded &amp; unloaded the dishwasher and cleaned the kitchen surfaces.     Oh silly me. I decided to get 600mm square slabs for the #allotment instead of 450mm. F me they are heavy. Now they are on the plot I&#39;ve got to position the blighters!

    Finasteride is a drug that keeps on giving..... mostly bad stuff. The low mood caused by Finasteride for my enlarged prostate seems to be a lot better this morning. Yay! My wife has pointed out that I&#39;ve definitely developed moobs and the area around my nipples is quite dark. Mirror confirms. Thanks. I&#39;m well into A cup territory and heading for Bs.     I&#39;ve managed to do all of the jobs on my list except one. My pressure washing of the drive was vetoed by She Who Must Be Obeyed who stated that there&#39;s a drought on, and I must not do it. So I had a nap instead. However, I&#39;ve got a little further with the bay window wall because I found some Polyfilla. Plus the driveway light had imploded and had to be removed (looking at it I&#39;m surprised it hadn&#39;t blown the fuse) - that turned into a bit of a job, and I&#39;ve ordered...

    Yesterday morning I didn&#39;t have any particular feelings one way or the other about same-sex relationships. Today, after our daughter&#39;s announcement, after 24 hours of reflection, guess what, I still don&#39;t have any strong feelings about same sex relationships. Surely if someone&#39;s happy it doesn&#39;t matter in the slightest what&#39;s between their legs. (And all I want is for her to be happy)

    Our daughter (if you know her story then this has a bit more context) yesterday told my wife that she was in the early stages of a new relationship. This is very good news as it&#39;s the first sign of anything like this since her abusive marriage fell apart - for the better.     Boring cycling stats This month I&#39;ve cycled 171km this is the highest monthly total since April 2016 when I rode 320km in the month. So far this year I&#39;ve ridden 458km which is more than every full year since 2020 when I cycled 501km in the year. I&#39;m impressed with myself - although the original aim of losing a few kg hasn&#39;t materialised! #Cycling #BikeTooter

    I&#39;ve completed the bike ride 51km well within #audaxuk time. But it was hard! Lumpier than expected, hotter than forecast, and the wind was gusting in all directions - none of them favourable to me. I can&#39;t say that more than 10% of the ride was scenic - Northamptonshire has some lovely areas and villages, but I didn&#39;t see much of that today. #northamptonshire #cycling #BikeTooter #Audax

    Absolutely splendid evening yesterday. We won both our Petanque matches and our club team came away with a 3-1 win against very strong opposition. I think I threw a couple of decent balls which is always a good thing! The pub garden was busy and there was a great atmosphere. (Even if the new owners are charging a fortune for drinks).     Good morning. I&#39;m still not quite right in my own skin yet. Stopping that medication was the right thing to do, but it took a while to unbalance me, and it&#39;ll take a while for my head to stop wobbling. Bonus though - my thumbs hurt a lot less!     @reb@retro.social Robin - have you considered ringing 111 and selecting the mental health option? I gather that they are pretty good these days. Even if it does you no good, talking through what&#39;s going on can surely do no harm. Stay safe whatever you decide.

    I&#39;m back from the GP. Sent an online form to the #NHS surgery at 08:50 today, at 09:20 I got a text with an appointment at 10:30. Went in to see the GP at 10:20. Can&#39;t fault that. He was absolutely convinced that the low mood I&#39;ve been experiencing, alongside the occasional nightmares, and slightly odd behaviour, are all due to the Finesteride I was prescribed for my enlarged prostate. He implied that I shouldn&#39;t have been prescribed it because of my history of depression....
