Has there been a change to character limits on lgbtqia.space? Or did I just not notice it was 500?

Goodness. Was reading through the ‘introduction’ hashtag posts, and I felt sure I read… Hi! I’m anxiety! 🤦🏻‍♂️

So, the #BBC needs to make cuts. Get rid of Laura Kuenssburg and Chris Mason and that’s an excellent saving.

#CommonwealthGames Seems Adam Ramsay-Peaty is miserable because he *only* got a bronze medal. I get it; swimmers train hard, really hard. But maybe he needs to realise that sometimes, people are simply better than him.

Sending strength and support to the LGBTQIA+ community in Berlin after the horrific attack on a peaceful event. Hate will not win.

I enjoy seeing how my monthly music taste changes. Last month was a good one! #Music

    @alexadeswift@lgbtqia.space @rozeboosje@masto.ai @NEBylines@mastodon.social I think it’s the 13 August.

Not hugely impressed with TNT Sports’ coverage of the #CommonwealthGames. Lacklustre commentary, issues with continuity on coverage, presented by a lacklustre Laura Robson. Not great really.

One thing I didn’t expect while watching the #CommonwealthGames - Faith by George Michael played on the bagpipes.

Streeting needs a muzzle. His voice is so annoying.

What I really don’t understand about UK politics is the assignment of politicians to briefs that they have absolutely no work or life experience in. Just two examples. Wes Streeting, now minister for defence (and previously a disastrous health secretary). I’d expect the defence secretary to have had experience within the military, or in some non-parliamentary defence role. But hang on, Streeting studied history at university, has been NUS president and worked on education in charities, and is...

Along with Larry the Cat, Hot Lecturn Guy seems to be the only consistent thing in Downing Street.

The rigmarole of politics in this country again - another PM going, doesn’t seem to matter which party is in power; smiling colleagues lining Downing Street; probably most of them two-faced. It’s embarrassing.

@druid@toot.wales unfortunately, your list rings true. But sending hope.

Note: if you suddenly notice I’ve started following you, it’s because either, a) you said something nice in a comment on a random post I saw; b) you and your posts look interesting to me; or c) for the pure hell of it! #Fediverse #Mastodon

One thing that struck me about Prague (apart from the architectural beauty and huge crowds) was that every bag I saw from a shop was paper. We did a small bit of shopping, and both shops we bought from had paper bags - then I noticed after that that every person carrying a shopping bag, the bag was paper. How come the UK can’t (or won’t) implement this?

I bought this vest for the awards ceremony, but it didn’t arrive in time, so I wore it on holiday. #NoLGBTWithoutTheT #TransRightsAreHumanRights #Queer #Gay #GayBear

We're now at home. But not after a fun time at Le Shuttle in Calais. We got there early in the hope that we might be able to get on an earlier train. We managed to book onto one 30 minutes earlier, so that was fine. And then we noticed there were lots of delays. Again, not too bad. We waited a while, and then got through the border checks, French and British – with the British one taking ages. We knew that we'd eventually get on. We were following other cars to get on to one of the...

So, we’ve left Prague on our drive back to Calais, and we’ve stopped in Germany. Near Koblenz, with Deutches Eck (spelling?). We’re now in Bad Ems, ready to drive to Calais tomorrow.

Really enjoyed going to Koněprusy Caves, a little while outside Prague. We went on our own, and then was approached by someone who I think was a private guide doing a tour in English, and asked if we’d like to join. So we did! Such a good guide, but the bloody steps at the end up a spiral staircase were awful!

So, I was in Manchester for the Queer student awards on Tuesday. It was incredible! The ceremony was great, and it was lovely to see the winners get their awards. I also made some new friends, including Ash Palmisciano (from Emmerdale), a fellow judge and host of the evening. Body issues mostly left behind, but it helped that I wore something comfortable. #LGBTQIA #TransRightsAreHumanRights

In honour of Pocak, our cat we said goodbye to almost two weeks ago, and of Felix, our cat who we lost unexpectedly five years ago, I visited the tattoo place in Reading yesterday. Pocak is the mostly white cat. #catsofmastodon #tattoo #cats

Today, went and donated Pocak’s food, litter tray and scratching post to Cats Protection, where we adopted him from. It’s made me a little sad - especially as today is exactly 4 weeks since we said goodbye to him. But… We’ve hopefully given some useful things that other kitties can use when they’re looking for their forever homes. We’ve kept his china feeding bowls as one reminder, and I’ve kept a couple of his toys, as another reminder. But he’ll always be with us. #CatsOfMastodon

Gah. There’s a special #BBCQT on tonight. My goodness, Zia Yusuf is a cunt.

I’ve now almost spent my first full day in the flat alone after we said goodbye to our beloved Pocak. I spent a nice few days with my Mum, just taking stock and being with her (and the sibling, unfortunately). My partner got safely to Hungary, and his Mum had her op successfully, so things are going well. This morning, I moved my desk to a different position - I didn’t think I could work in the original position without thinking of Pocak in his usual place, by my chair and scratching on the fu...
