Today, went and donated Pocak’s food, litter tray and scratching post to Cats Protection, where we adopted him from.
It’s made me a little sad - especially as today is exactly 4 weeks since we said goodbye to him.
But…
We’ve hopefully given some useful things that other kitties can use when they’re looking for their forever homes.
We’ve kept his china feeding bowls as one reminder, and I’ve kept a couple of his toys, as another reminder. But he’ll always be with us.

@saxifraga@lgbtqia.space Oh. The Gods be with you <3 I have a 12 year old boy who is my world, and everyone is already bracing for the fallout from him dieing. But I CANNOT function without a cat, because I have PTSD. So I'll keep all his things for the next kitty, and keep the more sentimental things on a shelf with his ashes. Like his mouse on a string that doesn't even look like a mouse anymore, and his Japanese ceramic dishes.
